Yoga Classes with Michelle

The Brief

A Hatha yoga teacher running classes across Ipswich, Woodbridge and Melton in Suffolk, moving off an ageing WordPress and Divi site. Three full design directions were built for review before the client chose a warm editorial recomposition in teal and amber with a serif display face.

The Migration

Rebuilt on Astro with Tailwind v4, run through a parity-gated migration process that fails the build if any URL, canonical tag or piece of structured data goes missing along the way, rather than trusting a manual page-by-page check.

Pose Guides & the Pose App

The centrepiece is a library of 33 yoga poses across Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels, each with its Sanskrit name, steps, benefits and cautions, illustrated mostly with the teacher's own real photos. Built on top of that, a swipeable, native-app-style follow-along walkthrough covers 27 of the poses with hand-drawn inline step art, its own feedback form and funnel tracking to see where people drop off.

Local SEO

Added three local landing pages targeting Ipswich, Woodbridge and the surrounding area, built directly from real Search Console query data rather than guessed keywords, plus a review-collection page and Leaflet-based maps in place of embedded Google Maps.
